Billy Bragg – A People’s History is the story of one of Britain’s leading singer-songwriters and political activists as told in the words of fans.

To be published in October 2025 by Spenwood Books of Manchester, UK, Billy Bragg – A People’s History will be a paperback book containing over 400 fan memories of seeing Billy in concert, on a demonstration or on a TV show.

Have you seen Billy in concert? Met him as an activist? Listened to his music? Seen him on the TV? We want to hear your Billy Bragg memories, whether it’s telling us about a particular song you love, a gig you attended or how Billy has inspired your activism. Perhaps you’ve met Billy and have a story to share.

Every submission will be acknowledged, and as we approach publication, we’ll let you know if your story is going to be included in the final book.

If you are sending us a story, around 400 words in length is ideal. If you’re sending us a gig memory, please include the date of the show if you can. If you’re sending photos, please ensure these are at least 300KB and please attach them as separate jpegs.
